About Milan Cathedral
One of the largest churches in the world. Construction began in 1386 and took nearly six centuries to complete. The facade was only finished under Napoleon. A forest of 135 spires and 3,400 statues crowns the roof. Visitors can walk among the pinnacles on the roof itself. Leonardo da Vinci worked on engineering for its crossing tower.
