About Temple of Artemis
One of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Built at Ephesus to honor the Greek goddess Artemis. Funded in part by King Croesus of Lydia. Had 127 marble columns each 60 feet tall. Took 120 years to complete. Destroyed by arson in 356 BC and rebuilt more than once. Only a single column remains standing today.
