The unreinforced concrete dome remains the largest ever built at 142 feet diameter. The oculus is 27 feet across and the only light source. The concrete gets lighter toward the top using volcanic rock aggregate. Rain enters through the oculus and drains through gently sloped floors. Over 1,900 years old and still intact.
