Villa Savoye

About Villa Savoye

A manifesto of modernist architecture by Le Corbusier. Raised on slender pillars called pilotis. A ribbon window runs the length of the facade. A ramp spirals through every level in a promenade architecturale. The roof terrace opens the house to the sky. All five points of new architecture are demonstrated here. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
