About Glass House

The Glass House by Philip Johnson, his own home for 56 years. Transparent walls face the landscape with no curtains at all. The steel framed box measures 56 by 32 feet. A freestanding brick cylinder contains the bathroom. There are no other interior walls. Influenced by Mies van der Rohe. The centerpiece of a 47-acre campus of structures.
