Hermitage Museum
About Hermitage Museum
One of the largest and oldest museums in the world. Founded by Catherine the Great in 1764. Over 3 million items fill six historic buildings along the Neva. The Winter Palace at its heart was home to the tsars. The collection spans da Vinci and Rembrandt masterpieces. Seeing every exhibit for one minute each would take 11 years. Cats have patrolled its cellars since imperial times.
