About Guggenheim New York
Designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. The spiral ramp ascends a quarter mile. Wright wanted visitors to take the elevator to the top and walk down. The skylight at the top is 58 feet in diameter. The building was initially criticized but is now beloved. Over 1.2 million visitors annually. The curved walls make hanging paintings challenging.
