Stands 1,083 feet tall, was the tallest structure for 41 years. 7,300 tons of iron held together by 2.5 million rivets. Gustave Eiffel had a private apartment at the top. Originally planned to be dismantled after 20 years. Repainted every 7 years using 60 tons of paint. Grows 6 inches in summer heat.
