About Dome of the Rock

The oldest Islamic monument. The gold dome was originally made of gold but is now gold-colored aluminum. The Foundation Stone inside is holy to Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. The tile exterior was renovated by Suleiman the Magnificent. The inscription inside is the oldest Quranic text in architecture.
