The Birds Nest stadium built for the 2008 Olympics. Designed by Herzog and de Meuron with artist Ai Weiwei as consultant. A steel lattice wraps independently around the concrete bowl. Seats over 91,000 spectators. The interwoven beams form a pattern that never repeats. Hosted the 2022 Winter Olympics as the first dual use Olympic stadium.
